For today, we are delivering you bits of information on WoW: The Burning Crusade's Silvermoon City. Yes, the majestic city of the blood elves. Well expect many changes in this fabled capital as Silvermoon will feature a split-face to its citizens and visitors in The Burning Crusade.

Looking back at Warcraft III: The Reign of Chaos, the blood elves' capital suffered massive damages when Arthras and the Scourge tore the city down during the Third War. After all the chaos and destruction have subsided, one side of Silvermoon City was restored to its former grandeur while the other half was left to crumble into ruins, thus rendering to the split-face of the City. But theres more to it than the difference in the surroundings of the two halves alone. Behind the magnificence of the other half of the city, the ruined half mirrors the dark struggle of the elves to feed their insatiable desire to master magic.

In this light, the development team for Wow: The Burning Crusade took painstaking measures to improve every small details of Silvermoon City. One of these is crowd controlling. By installing two auction houses, two banks, two inns, and eleven mailboxes in the city, players now won't crowd in one spot of interest only.

Newcomers would also be greeted in comfort and style as the new flight master now resides outside the city. The probability of a player getting lost within the city was also cut short as the developers team installed visual markers like the gold statue of an elven huntress outside the hunter trainers building. The new Silvermoon City also retains some of its old attractions such as the golems patrolling the streets, reciting carefully-worded propaganda to remind everyone of their loyalty to Prince Kael'thas. Several non-playable characters will also be expected in Silvermoon like two magi in a polymorph battle and diplomatic emissaries from the Horde.
