Some World of Warcraft players have complained about how difficult it is to run searches in the WoW Auction Houses. It looks like Blizzard's been listening and did something about it. The updates they've implemented (and are planning on implementing) should really benefit merchants who frequent the WoW Auctions.
Blizzard Poster Eyonix from the WoW Forums gave the skinny on the updates they've implemented for searching in the auction houses. He said that typing in a part of the word and
all items containing those characters will now be shown. In addition,
if you search for an item in your inventory for a price check before
placing an auction, you can
now just shift-left-click it into the text field much like linking items
into chat. How's that for convenience?
He also gave word about the updates they plan on implementing in the next patch:
- The Auction House now has a reset button
that will reset all fields you have entered to allow you to quickly try
a different search.
- When items are being put up for sale on the Auction
House, if the item you are putting up for bid is the same item and
quantity as the previous item you put up for bid, it will automatically
fill in the price and buyout for you with your previous price.
- Gems are now searchable in the Auction House under the
heading of Gem with the gems then broken up by color so you can search
for all gems of a specific color.
The biggest change that they are planning though are improvements on the user-interface which will encompass the auction house as well. So if you're planning on auctioning up some of the loot you got or picking up some stuff from the auctions, you can expect to have an easier time with the latest update.
