World of Warcraft: no beta yet, so beta emails are fake - Image 1Did you happen to pick up an email announcing that Blizzard's World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King would have a beta in three weeks? Well, you should be careful of those, as Blizzard reps are reporting that the email is false and shouldn't be trusted.

In Tofeity's orginal post, he was asking why Blizzard wasn't being more open about the beta, as he received an email stating that a WoW: Wrath of the Lich King beta would be up in three weeks.

Later in the thread, Bornakk, chimed in, recalling an earlier post stating that Blizzard didn't have a beta planned for Wrath of the Lich King, and that any future news stating that there would be a beta would first be announced as a note on the official website.

If you picked up an email announcing a WotLK beta, we feel for you. Just make sure you don't enter any account details to compromise your account, and the email will remain a harmless prank by some unknown entities.
