World of Warcraft Arena - Image 1

Players who have participated in the Arena bouts have been concerned about their Arena point losses because of time away from the game. Despite World of Warcraft's Honor point system rewarding skill, a player's standing can still be trampled on by not being able to participate in the competition while others are.

Tseric, a Blizzard representative in the WoW Forums community, announced that rolling restarts will be issued at 2 pm (Pacific Standard Time). The rolling restarts will affect all realms, so that they can keep track of Arena scores for those realms that have been restarted. The downtime is expected to be minimal for each realm.

What's a rolling restart, you ask? Well, let's say you have a collection of servers up and running. If you restart each one in a "one-by-one fashion", always waiting for the one restarted to be up and running before restarting another server, you are performing rolling restart.
