5400 users have been banned and over 10,000 are currently suspended. Blizzard hates cheaters, this is nothing new. We've seen them ban thousands of people off of Starcraft and Diablo without batting an eyelash. As time goes on Blizzard will, of course, ban more WoW users. Blizzard bans users that misuse the game's mechanics, use macro programs to automate mind numbingly boring task, and generally violate the terms of use.
