Why wait until Patch 2.4 to fix things up in World of Warcraft? - Image 1With all the bugs and changes that have been noted by the people in Blizzard for MMORPG World of Warcraft, Sttheresa from the Spinebreaker realm wondered why did they have to wait for patches just so they can act on it.

She pointed out that tweaking the game could be done during the weekly maintenance instead of waiting for one patch after the other. In her opinion, taking care of the minute errors would be easier as opposed to being flooded with problems all at once.

Community Manager Tigole responded by saying that the changes that they will introduce are needed to be patched in the client and the server. They can't simply magically fix the errors during maintenance from a technical standpoint.

Furthermore, if they did fix things in the game without a patch, it would be very risky. He said that "
any change, however small, can cause a ripple effect of bugs in the game. It's very important to test out any change before pushing it live."

Lastly, the community manager pointed out also that developers need to test things from a design standpoint. They have to see how their changes play out in a semi-live environment before anything else.

Having that said, we'll keep you guys posted for more news on the game!
