Blizzard: WoW's Grimtotem Spirit Guide will remain elusive - Image 1

As already discussed before, taming the Grimtotem Spirit Guide in MMORPG World of Warcraft is not an easy feat. Aside from using a lot of spells and good timing, players are also required to spend a handful of spirit shards and money.

These, coupled with the Grimtotem Spirit Guide's spawn time of seven seconds, are causing frustrations to some World of Warcraft players to the point that they are now asking Blizzard if this method of taming the pet was intentional or not.

Blizzard forum moderator Issuntril explained that they didn't intentionally made the Grimtotem Spirit Guide as elusive as it is now. However, the development team has decided to stick with it nonetheless. The WoW forum blue poster further explained:

While this feature of the Grimtotem Spirit Guide wasn't exactly intended, it was agreed by the development team that this is a fun use of in-game mechanics, and we therefore have no plans to address this issue.

It will still be possible in future for everyone who wishes to tame this NPC to do so. I hope this alleviates your concerns!

Players who have already tamed this particular pet said that they used a priest's Mind Control, a meta-gem which increased cast-speed by 50%, and a shaman's Bloodlust for 30% increased cast speed.
