Blizzard's World of Warcraft MMORPG - Image 1With the release of the latest patch notes for the 2.4.0 PTR of Blizzard's World of Warcraft, Bornakk officially announced the opening of the Public Test Realms to WoW players who want to try out all the new goodies the developers have been enticing players with lately.

As an added bonus, Bornakk also explained that the 2.4.0 PTR will be region-free, so players are free to choose which test realm they want to play on regardless of which server region they normally play. He also added that this will be a new trend that they plan to implement in future patches.

Anyway, here's the official statement released by Bornakk on the WoW forums:

With the 2.4.0 PTR, we will be allowing US, EU and Korean players to access all available PTR realms. Players will be able to choose which test realm they wish to play on without being restricted by region. We currently plan to make all PTR realms available in this way for all future patches.

It should be rather interesting to see WoW players experience the gaming environments across foreign servers not normally available to their region. Hopefully, Blizzard will follow through on this new gaming trend for the WoW community
