Blizzard's World of Warcraft MMORPG - Image 1The European World of Warcraft servers experienced some problems last November 29 due to the increased activity because of patch 2.3 and the start of Arena season 3. Many players reported some delays in being able to log on to the game.

During the time the problem happened, Blizzard Community Manager Thundgot addressed the community saying that Blizzard was closely monitoring the queues and population trends on all the servers. Thankfully, the problem was eventually resolved by the developers and everyone was able to get back to playing the game.

This problem has caused certain players to start asking for a new realm in order to lessen the delay when logging into the game. Blizzard has yet to respond to this suggestion, though they are probably looking into the feasibility of this solution to avoid another incident such as this.
