 Nebu, staff member of Blizzard's official World of Warcraft website, recently announced the winners of the World of Warcraft
comic contest for the previous month. While eleven entries were chosen
as the contest finalists, Lavaburst, a level 21 Blood Elf mage of the
Kamikaze Cupcakes guild, claimed the top spot in Blizzard's eyes.
Lavaburst's entry, entitled "Witty WoW Comic Title", featured a Horde peon merrily hammering his pick axe away at a slab of rock holding nuggets of gold. Beneath the busy peon was a mining status bar that measured the peon's progress. Just as the peon is about to finish mining, a creep sneaks up on him, and throwing off his concentration and pestering him to no end.
