For the past couple of days now, we've been reporting several issues currently plaguing Blizzard's celebrated MMORPG World of Warcraft. These include bugs, high latency, and disconnection occurrences.
We can only speculate now that these incidents are what prompted Blizzard to extend the maintenance downtime scheduled to happen later today. Forum moderator Bornakk came up with the announcement:
We will be performing extended maintenance for all realms on Tuesday, January 29. The downtime will begin at 3:00 a.m. PST and end at approximately 11:00 a.m. PST.
On a more positive note, it is also not impossible that the extended downtime is actually a sign that Blizzard is already putting together patch 2.4 for World of Warcraft. But like we said, we can all do nothing not but speculate and guess.
