Think you and your friends are the best 3v3 PvP team in Blizzard's World of Warcraft? Well, you can go and prove it to the rest of the world at the 2008 World of Warcraft Arena Tournament. While registration for this event hasn't been opened yet, details on the tournament have been revealed meaning that you and your friends can start getting yourselves ready.
According to the announcement on the official World of Warcraft website, tournament registration is open to any active WoW

No grinding involved with this tournament since players will be able to create up to
three new characters on these realms and instantly level them to 70. After that they can have their pick of PvP gear from various NPCs.
To the winners go the spoils, and the same is true for this tournament. Each regional champion will be taking home US$ 15,000 while US$ 6,000 will be awarded to the second place winners. US$ 3,000 and
US$ 1,500 will be given to the third and fourth placers respectively, while fifth- through
eighth-place teams will each receive US$ 600.
The top teams of the entire tournament will also be getting quite a bit of cash. Blizzard has revealed that the winning team will take home US$ 75,000 while the
second-place team will win $30,000. The third place team will be
awarded $15,000.
