When the PvP Arena System was announced for The Burning Crusade, it generated a lot of excitement and curiosity within the World of Warcraft community. As discussed already before, the new system basically allows players of different allegiance to compete against other teams that banded for the sole purpose of joining the arena event. And we're telling you, the rewards are quite rewarding.
This is the exact very reason why people keep on asking regarding the whatabouts of the system. Like today for example, in the official Blizzard forum, we came across another individual that's quite curious about it too. It was a good thing that Blizzard's Drysc, the ever courteous and helpful poster, read the inquiry and was able to make a few reiterations
"Everyone will have access to the arena rewards regardless of their team's standing," posted Drysc. He added as well that the major, if not the only determining factor is how quickly players can obtain the rewards. He then added, "if you're a mediocre team you're not going to get the rewards nearly as quickly as the top teams, but you still have something to work towards and you'll get them eventually."
Also, it was clarified in his post that losing to teams with worse standing than yours activate the demerit system. While some think that to be able to succeed in the arena system requires grinding, Drysc highlighted that this demerit system actually discourages that.
