And now, we bring news of the Australian chapter for World of Warcraft's Burning Crusade launch. The launch took place at the EB retailer in Chatswood, with roughly 450+ WoW gamers lining up for their copy of TBC. A pre-launch party was kicked off at 10:00 pm, MC'd by none other than the crew of Atomic Magazine.

The festivities also included the usual events of cosplays and WoW trivia contests, which kept the crowd stoked even as they counted down the last seconds before the midnight launch. The event was over as quickly as it had begun on midnight, with EB selling out hundreds of copies within 40 minutes of opening its doors.

On a last note, it was interesting to see it wasn't just a festivity for the game hardcores - correspondent reports say that gamers from literally all walks of life made it to the celebration, which reflects the diversity WoW has as a gaming community.

And with that, we end this short situation report of their launch, which (thankfully) seems to have gone off as peacefully as the others here and in Britain.
