Warrior's Cleave Icon from Blizzard's World of Warcraft - Image 1In Blizzard's World of Warcraft, the Warrior is arguably the best tank in the game. Combining high damage offensive skills with high HP has always been an effective build in most MMORPGs - and World of Warcraft is no exception. The common problem (or advantage) of Warriors is that they draw the attention of multiple enemies. Thankfully, the Warrior has skills to deal with multiple opponents. One such skill is called Cleave.

The Cleave skill is useful for pulling two opponents or handling sudden appearances of mobs from the front. This skill deals more damage per rage when partnered with a slow weapon, so it would be advisable to do so. Certain changes have been implemented to the Cleave skill in the 2.1.0 patch.

Cleave changes in 2.1.0:

  • Cleaves will only hit people in front of the creature.
  • Cleaves will have a chain length equal to the combat reach of the creature.
These changes can be good or bad depending on how you play your character. For more news and updates on World of Warcraft, check back here at QJ.

 » This is totally misleading

The cleave changes ONLY APPLY TO RAID AND DUNGEON MOBS. Warrior cleaves are totally unaffected.
