So what do you do when you find yourself dead on a floating island? Rengan from the WoW Forums raised that concern since he finds that resurrection (rez) sickness doesn't agree with his stomach and his pocket for that matter.
How do you die on a floating island? Well, get on your flying mount on a PvP server, ride to Tempest Keep, manage to get yourself killed on one of the floating rocks. Good thing is, you can get a spirit rez - at the cost of 25% of maximum durability to all your items plus around 10 minutes of rez sickness.
According to Tseric, Blizzard has "implemented measures to prevent a forced rez at Arcatraz, so that players may reasonably access Tempest Keep without having to repair." But for the PvP cases, he said that they don't plan to make any changes to make the "general environment safer for combat".
There are also issues dying in mid-air and corpses not falling to the ground. Tseric says that they are working on that issue to have the ghost drop to the ground.
Since certain quests and instances take player to areas in Tempest Keep only accessible by flying, Tseric had this to say:
I neglected to mention before that specific cases such as these could be under review, but I know of no sweeping change to make any and all remote islands 'safer'. The change to Arcatraz which gives a free rez may or may not be applied to other specific cases such as Mechanar. Possible that it could be applied more generally, but I am less sure of that than I am of reviewing specific cases.
