Attention K-Mart Shoppers: 13 World of WarCraft realms now back online - Image 1This is an update to the "REALM DOWN!" call made earlier. Drysc has kept a running (blue) tab on the realms-down issue as Blizzard engineers worked to resolve the problem. At one point, additional maintenance was required, necessitating another realm downtime.

Well, as of 4:04AM PDT (daylight savings time), all the additional maintenance was completed and the 13 404'd realms are now back online. Drysc says that they are accepting players, but are continuing to monitor them for any additional issues that may crop up. So far, he hasn't mentioned any theories or reasons why the 13 realms suddenly went down.

So for now, it's watchful waiting for Blizzard as the population trickle back to the realms.
