With all the notoriety that gold farmers in Blizzard's World of Warcraft have earned, machinima producer Egad Pit has come up with a new video parodying one of the darker aspects of World of Warcraft.

Based on Kanye West's song "Gold Digger," Egad Pit's WoW spoof "Gold Farmer" tells the story of how a female blood elf charmed her way into the raiding party of an unsuspecting orc leader and made off with the orc's highly coveted equipment and gold. It's a tongue-in-cheek look at how someone obtains good gear in Blizzard's MMORPG (and eventually, real world money as well) using questionable means.

Despite the otherwise serious nature of the theme being parodied, it's good to have machinima like Gold Farmer to help World of Warcraft players lighten up while it tackles a topic that is normally not a laughing matter.
