If you aren't a fan of those lengthy attunement quests, then we have some news for you. Over on the World of Warcraft forums, Tigole has announced that Essence of the Immortals quest chain has been removed from the PTR, meaning that the Sunwell Plateau raid instance will be available from the get-go.
Here's Tigole's official announcement on the matter:
Apologies that this update is coming so late but we pulled the Essence of Immortal quest chain about 2 weeks ago. That's why you haven't seen it on the Public Test Realm. The 3 gates will open automatically over time at equal intervals on all servers.
Tigole explained that, while they did like the idea of cross-server competition, "the concept of the gates being tied to specific boss kills was not playing out as we had hoped."
People who are interested in racing others for something coveted may be disappointed at the disappearance of an opportunity to being first at opening the raid instance. That being said, however, Tigole notes that you can still work towards being the first to complete all of the essential quests needed to liberate the town on Sunwell Isle.
