Ezra gets a Phoenix Mount in World of Warcraft (yes, it does exist) - Image 1There has been talk about the epic Phoenix Mount in World of Warcraft. It has been confirmed that it is in the game, it's just really hard to get. This is big news for those who have been looking for a new method of travel in the game, and here's the kicker: cancer patient Ezra Chatterton now has the World First Phoenix mount courtesy of Blizzard.

Now the phoenix, with its constant cycle of birth and rebirth is a very important symbol for Ezra and his family. His father explained the significance of this mythical bird in their lives. Here's a snippet of what he said to WoW Insider's Krystalle Voecks:

The first thing he said when he saw, from a safe distance, that our house was going up in flames last February was: But I really liked that house. The second thing he said, seeing my fear and panic start to well up, was: At least nobody's hurt. It'll be o.k. because we're all safe.

It was the kind of thing grown-ups say to each other the next day or a week later to put their loss into perspective, not the kind of thing you'd expect a 9 year old kid to say before the fire department even got there.

A nine year old boy who has this kind of perspective and is fighting with cancer is amazing to say the least. It shows the stuff a person is made off. He is turning out to be a very remarkable young man and, judging by the account of his father, well deserving of the Phoenix Mount Blizzard (you guys rock!) gave him.

If you see a flying Phoenix hovering around be sure to give it a wave or a shout-out. I'm sure he'll appreciate it. You can read the entire account as told by his father and information on the trust fund for his medical bills via our read link.

I find this to be alot of Bull, there are thousands, if not millions, of kids that would kill to even have a computer and blizzard is favoring this one kid. I happen to know a decent number of people that play wow that are much worse off and do they get any special treatment, no.

Blizzard is simply promoting cancer showing you that every kid should have it.. it's fun!

For all you simple minded responders, Blizzard answered the call to a Make a Wish request, and I think they stepped up fantastically. If you don't know, Make a Wish is for Terminally ill children. Are you that shallow minded that you think a young child should have been turned down, because other people may be jealous. Blizzard had a heart, I guess you don't.

You guys really need to be nice, this kid is going through alot for a 10 year old and even if hes might not be the only one like this, you really need to see through the fact that cancer is a ***** to deal with and that anything that can make this kid happy is great. What do you say of those kids that get to meet celebs? they are unworthy? if you do then i would love to see you in real life to see how big of a moron and loser you are

You guys need to stfu and gtfo. You mean to tell me you are jealous of a 9 year old that has cancer because he is getting a phoenix and you arnt? The base reason for blizzard giving him this is so that it will get publicity and more will donate to his trust fund, sure they are willing to give him what he wants but it really isnt the point imo.

As demenstrated the world is full of stupid people.

PS: ENJOY HELL.
