World of Warcraft Blizzard MMORPG news - Image 1The first part of Blizzard's World of Warcraft patch 2.3 is now available via the Blizzard Background Downloader. While this means we're going to get the patch soon, it's too early to get too excited since it might take some time before it actually goes live on the retail servers.

Community Manager Nethaera addressed players who have been asking about the sudden activation of the Blizzard Background Downloader saying that, "it's the background downloader prepping for 2.3 much like we've done before. It just means we're getting closer." While she didn't give a specific date on when we can expect the patch to go live we can safely assume that it's pretty close if they're already prepping the game.

Players have a lot to look forward to in the World of Warcraft patch 2.3. This update introduces various changes such as new video options, class skill buffs and the new instance Zul'Aman. Right now, this blogger is just hoping that Blizzard addresses all of the patch issues before it becomes active in the retail servers.
