Blizzard has announced the return of two of its annual screenshot contests to hail in the season of Winter Veil across the world of Azeroth.

Much like the other screenshot requests previously announced by Blizzard, the 2007 Holiday Screenshot Contest follows the basic screenshot conventions, so those of you who've been diligent in submitting stuff for the Royal Photographic Society of Azeroth should know the drill. Fifteen of the finest holiday screenshots will be chosen to represent the spirit of the season.

As for the 2007 Holiday Cookie Contest, you won't be taking screenshots of anything in-game. Rather, this contest puts your baking skills as well as your photographic talent to the test as Blizzard is accepting photos of a cake, candy, cookie or even a gingerbread house depicting any recognizable bit of the Warcraft, StarCraft, or Diablo universes. Five winners between three categories for each of the best cakes, candies or cookies, and gingerbread houses will be chosen.

All the winners will receive a lot of treats from Mr. Loenbrough and his crew. Among these are Logitech G51 Surround Sound Speakers, as well as a signed copy of the Samwise Didier version of the World of Warcraft comic book for the Holiday Screenshot winners and the Jim Lee version for the Holiday Cookie Contest winners.

If you think you have what it takes to show that you're full of the Christmas spirit, then hurry up and take those pictures since both contests will only run until December 31.
