World of Warcraft - the Wind Serpent's Nature talent gets a nerf - Image 1Hunters with tamed Wind Serpents, hold your breath: Blizzard just introduced a hotfix that hinders damage modifiers from increasing the Lightning Breath damage beyond "normal."

This fix addressed one of several issues regarding Hunters and their uber pets. For this situation, when supported by damage modifying gear, pet skill damage jumps miles high.

Hunters are one of few classes with pets that actually fight. Of course, with the right Area of Effect spell and some crowd control, these natural denizens of Azeroth and Outland are particularly easy to pick off. Not all pets have immense damage scaling, but the Wind Serpent, a perfect DPS pet, breaks the mold.

While there are cries for pets capable of basic ranged attacks and better survivability in PvP and PvE scenarios, it seems all Blizzard wants to make sure of now is that no pet becomes particularly threatening.
