Isle of Quel'danas Quest Progression set to complete in WoW China - Image 1It looks like The9 wants to make up for the problems with the Chinese World of Warcraft servers. The9 has apparently set the island of Quel'danas to a fully completed status, meaning that all quests on Quel'danas are available to the Chinese realms, as though Phase 4 of the Quel'danas quest line had been finished by players.

Gwwfps over on the Potato Skin blog has more on this matter, noting that patch 2.4 brought about  poor performance across the different Chinese WoW realms:

Many of the more populous realms suffered frequent restarts and periods of downtime, especially at peak hours. As a result, a significant number of these realms also fell victim to rollbacks. Some of the hardest hit realms had their IQD  (Isle of Quel'danas) progress reset multiple times in a single day.

While the manual resetting of the isle to an essentially open status seems like a good one (since people will be getting better loot sooner), it doesn't address the problem of the servers being less-than-friendly to players. We hope the more important issue of unstable servers and poor performance gets addressed so that players can go back to actually enjoying their gametime instead of struggling to play.
