We recently covered a story where Ezra Chatterton got a Phoenix Mount in World of Warcraft. The guys from Blizzard on the forums have confirmed the existence of the said epic mount but never gave any specifics on it. Now it has been discovered that the mount drops from Kael'thas Sunstrider.

Method took down Kael'thas for the first time and it seems that they got the Ashes of Al'ar which is needed to summon the Phoenix. This item binds on pick-up and requires a level 70 character with 300 riding skill. It summons/dismisses the mount and has a three second cooldown time between uses. The lucky person who scored that item on the raid should be flying around Azeroth in style.
