A lot of people are expecting a lot of new content to be added in Blizzard's World of Warcraft when its second expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, comes out.
In light of this, fans of PvP combat will be pleased to know that the game's lead designer Jeffrey "Tigole" Kaplan has announced a "new big PvP zone."
In an interview with magazine PCzone, Kaplan gave out a few details regarding this addition. He mentioned that the new area will be optional but will be completely non-instanced. It will also have multiple objectives, siege weapons, and destructible buildings.
However, don't expect that only PvP players will be having fun with Wrath of the Lich King. Kaplan said that entering Northrend will be an epic experience in itself. Here's what he had to say:
We absolutely need to make the entry to Northrend epic. We originally had the entry to Burning Crusade's Dark Portal as a bunch of cohorts waling around, and people reacted badly.
This really hammered home the fact that we needed to raise expectations on entering the expansions. If Kaplan was trying to whet out appetites for Wrath of the Lich King, he's done a pretty good job. We'll just have to wait and see if the expansion lives up to the hype.
