Darkmoon Faire - Image 1The Darkmoon Faire will be hitting San Diego on November 29 to December 2, and it's going to be more of a blast now that the first annual World of Warcraft Trading Card Game World Championship will open alongside the much awaited WoW event.

Visitors of the San Diego Darkmoon Faire will be able to participate in a host of tournaments, including the Gadgetzan Championship, where participants can win iPods, Wiis, Xbox 360s, iPhones, and more.

WoW gamers will also be able to mingle with Blizzard, and even challenge Upper Deck Entertainment and Blizzard employees in a round of WoW TCG.

Of course, no Darkmoon Faire is complete without a PVP Server. This time around, you can compete with other players using a premade Level 70 character to win Best Buy gift cards and other goodies.

For those who are more interested in the WoW TCG World Championship, you can check out more information about the details and prizes here. Also, Upper Deck Entertainment just recently announced that they were able to get a special rate for the WoW TCG World Championship attendees at the Hard Rock Hotel right across from the convention center, which amounts to US$ 225 for a studio-type room or US$ 275 for a suite. Not bad, considering that it's quite the posh hotel.

Upper Deck also released the criteria that determines who gets the invites for the TCG World Championship:

  • Players who earned an invitation through their respective National Championship events.
  • Players with a Constructed Rating of at least 2850 or Limited Rating of at least 2700
  • Players with an Honor Ranking of Level 6 or higher
If you think you fulfill any of the above criteria, then check out the Via link for the full WoW TCG World Championship invite list!
