Wrath of the Lich King, expansion of the World of Warcraft - Image 1 With so much hype surrounding the fabled hero classes, Bornakk, one of Blizzard's community managers, shed a little more light on the subject of the Death Knight class. Bornakk also offered some insight surrounding the development and implementation of hero classes in-game:

Death Knights are something we are very excited about implementing. A lot of people have built up thoughts on how they want the system to work, but if we add a bunch of Hero classes at once, it would greatly skew the balance that we have and on top of this lead to too much complexity in designing and balancing dungeons. We have to think very carefully about what will be the most fun for our players before we can make any final decisions on this. We will provide more information on Death Knights when details have been finalized.

It's not really much to go on for now, but Blizzard is apparently still tweaking the much anticipated hero class so as not to upset the game balance. But with some of the features for the Death Knight already revealed, this is surely one class that everyone will be trying out once everything has been finalized. Until more solid information comes out though, everyone will just have to stay tuned for more updates.
