A exciting musical score definitely adds a new dimension to any game. This was the latest wish list item members on the World of Warcraft forums were asking for in the upcoming expansion Wrath of the Lich King.

Several members on the forums noted the somewhat lackluster music didn't seem exactly motivating, especially in boss fights when the track ends prematurely and you're left with just a lot of sound effects during a supposedly epic battle.

Other forumers mentioned that this can be remedied by checking the loop music option on the options menu. With a lot of music tracks already included in the game, WoW definitely has a lot of good sounds to get into the epic feel you're looking for in an MMO.

However, this posed the question whether there will be some new sounds added to the WotLK expansion. Fortunately, Blizzard Poster Nethaera was there to answer everyone's question:

There is a ton of great new music that was added with The Burning Crusade and more that has been added since it's launch. I generally keep my "loop" option on for when there are areas where there isn't as much music. Try hanging out in one of the Inns or head into Karazhan and you'll hear it. Zangarmarsh also has some great music.

That said though, there are some great plans for Sunwell music as well as sound design and music for Wrath of the Lich King.
