Paladins - severe - Image 1

The forums have been crazy and it looks like everybody at Blizzard's either cleaning up the forums, trying to explain reasons for nerfs to irate players (some even threatening to cancel their accounts), or scrambling for cover. After all the insanity caused by the patchnotes for patch 2.0.10, we can't say we blame them.

After doing our usual rounds in the WoW forums we found two things that almost made us fall off our chairs. Nerfage had spread like wildfire across the World of Warcraft, with nearly every class sustaining damage. Imagine our surprise upon discovering that the nerfs that were upon paladins and priests have been taken back. Paladins will be glad to know that changes on Forbearance, Divine Shield and Avenging Wrath have been taken back. According to Eyonix, these changes were un-made upon considering the "class' ability to tank in dungeons". Eyonix adds:
  • Increased the duration of "Avenging Wrath" by 50% (now lasts 30 sec.) This ability no longer invokes "Forbearance", but shares a cooldown with "Divine Shield".
  • Forbearance now reduces damage dealt by the affected player by 15%.
The Blizzard poster concluded that devs still feel that paladins are a bit overpowered on the "burst damage" department and they are planning to make "reasonable ways" to make "minor" adjustments in the future. Meanwhile in another thread, Eyonix announced that priests have been given positive adjustments (read: buffs). He said that they are "also continuing to look into improving Light well, as well as analyzing priest survivability in both PvE and PvP."
  • The cooldown on Prayer of Mending has been reduced to 10 seconds (instead of the planned 20 second cooldown).
  • The damage mitigation of Power Word: Shield is being improved by increasing the bonus it gains from +healing gear by 10% (to 20%).
  • Circle of Healing will now cost 30% less mana.
Players have mixed reactions to this, varying from utter disbelief to resignation. They think that the buffs are not as useful as the devs think. Anyway, we'll see how things go in the long run as the great wailing and gnashing of teeth continues.

Game is just getting to redundant. All these changes they do it feels like just when you get a handle on your class they just screw your planned gameplay.
