The dancing Tigerlily-lookalike avatar is back. Blizzard poster Ommra has posted a clarification concerning Arena matches in the WoW forums. Apparently, if a match between two players end in a draw, it doesn't count as a match played. No one gets a win, no one gets a loss. Rankings won't change. It's like you never even played at all.

What this means is that if all you're looking for is to get to, say, ten matches played and you end up having a bunch of draws, you're going to have to sink even more hours into the Arena. It seems World of Warcraft's Arena system is set up so that a match only counts as played if there's a clear winner and a loser.

Hopefully, this system will change since there are quite a few people who are in it only to reach a certain number of matches played. This hasn't really drawn a lot of attention to itself, though, so it might take a while for Blizzard to even consider changing the system.
