Rumor has it that Blizzard's World of Warcraft expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, has already hit closed alpha testing and that various players have already received invitations to see it, with a non-disclosure agreement.

This was confirmed by WoW Insider through their anonymous sources. Blizzard has yet to make any formal (or even informal) announcements regarding this, but it would make sense if the expansion will be released within the year.
