WoW players get unexpected downtime and are compensated for their troubles - Image 1Some European World of Warcraft battlegroups recently had to go without WoW for six hours as a result of some unintended downtime. Blizzard is on the case though, with some compensation for the affected players who couldn't play.

Here's Vaneras' announcement over on the WoW European Forums:

On April 8th a technical issue caused 6 hours of downtime for the realms of the Crueldad, Hinterhalt, Némésis and Nightfall Battlegroups.

As a result we will credit all players with an active character on the affected realms with 1 day of game time credit. This will be credited to the eligible accounts in the next few weeks. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience this has caused.

While Blizzard didn't explain the details behind the downtime, it's good to know that Blizzard has decided to compensate the inconvenienced players with some extra game time as a result.
