Blizzard: Wrath of the Lich King still not dated - Image 1If you happen to chance upon Amazon.com for the listing of Blizzard's Wrath of the Lich King expansion, you may have noticed that they've got a release date up for the game. According to Amazon.com, Wrath of the Lich King is scheduled for release on January 18, 2008.

There's just one problem with that assertion, and that's Blizzard's own statement. According to CM Nethaera, there's yet to be any announced date for the game. She writes, "There are no official dates until we announce one. All other dates are there because retailers are required to have one if they presell an item."

Does it categorically dash our hopes for a January release of the game? Not quite. It does, however, remind us that we should all wait for an official announcement from Blizzard, or at least confirm the rumors we hear.
