You must defeat Sheng Long in WoW to stand a chance - Image 1

Games sometimes allude to or make direct references to other games either as a plug or as a way of paying homage to the other game. Blizzard's World of Warcraft is no different. This time, the game that World of Warcraft referred to was none other than Capcom's Street Fighter 2.

One interesting screenshot we came across involves what appears to be a mystic player character in Blizzard's World of Warcraft performing the trademark Shotokan dragon punch, complete with the flame effect from Ken Master's fierce punch version of the shoryuken technique.

This is not the first time that an MMORPG has included references to Capcom's Street Fighter Series; Neowiz's Perfect KO Online has Ryu and Chun-Li in it as playable characters. As Blizzard is known for sneaking in references to pop culture in their games, perhaps we'll be seeing more references once Blizzard and Activision officially complete their Activision Blizzard merger.
