It's less than a week before launch date. Blizzard launch preparations are impressive: the free character transfers, new realms, launch parties, extended live tech support, and custom laptops and keyboards.
You're excited to get a copy of the much anticipated expansion, but am not sure how it's going to work. Nethaera answers frequently asked questions regarding The Burning Crusade.
It's important that players run through the FAQs, so come launch date they'll know what to do. Nethaera informs players of the launch date (12:00 A.M. EST, on January 16), when they'll be able to play (as soon as they get the TBC CD and have it installed), why they need to install from the CD (it has content the recent patches didn't have), account management (they'll need individual authentication keys for each account), Honor points (players keep their current honor Points), and many others.
