Those are not horde. Those are noobs.
I play horde. AV is easily winnable. The only reason we don't win is that we usually have 20+ AFKers per game.
Ban anyone who complains, they're ruining the game for everyone else.
The first post from >>No is a joke. He's actually an Alliance that's too scared to see what would happen if the mapped was changed.
And second I think that writer who wrote this article needs to play a couple of AV's it really sounds like he/she doesn't know what the heck he's/she's writing about. "And for various reasons, the Alliance seem to usually take home the flag during these events." Dammit there are no flaggs.

is my armory. Feel free to make a character on my server and ask me if I wrote this.
The map IS biased towards alliance, but damnit, if it weren't for the AFKers (I had TWENTY-FOUR in my last game!) then we would win easily, every time.
I never lost a game in 51-60. Why? No AFKers.
If you get an organized Horde group they roll over AV in short order. It is actually extremely impressive to watch. In my battle group there was a group that would come out of the Uldum server every now and then and just roll AV. Even being on the liosing side of that, you couldn't help but admire the skill.
I think the main thing is that Horde is used to putting together 'pre-mades' for BGs, which will usually do much better than a PUG. But AV is very hard to make a pre-made for (it can be done, its just more difficult).
This is why the Horde usually win at WSG and AB, they enter the BG as a group, or at least a core group. The Allies enter as a PUG and get owned.
But in AV the Horde find it harder to form a an AV pre-made, so they come in as a PUG the same as the Allies. But the Allies are used to PUG BGs and so cope better.
Plus this is a self reinforcing cycle. The allies do better at AV, so more of them play it regularly, and thus get better at it. The horde lose more at AV and so don't want to play it as much.
But as I said, if you get a group of Horde that actually know what they are doing and work as a team, they can give an ally team a run for their money. And a very well organized one will probably win.
Personally I think the Horde have a better defensive position than the Allies. That bridge is no better than that narrow choke point to the gate, and the towers at the gate provide fire as well until they are destroyed (plus Hunters and casters can stand in the towers and throw fire down onto attackers as well).
When the Horde bother to mount a serious defense, I've seen some very good defensive stands taken at the gates to the town and the gates to the castle.
But making the cave the point of last resort to rez at will be good for both sides. Its annoying trying to defend a contested GY, getting killed, and then ending up in the cave on the absolute wrong side of the battle.
From my POV I say go ahead, flip the map around, I don't think it'll make the slightest bit of difference, except make the game a little more interesting for a while as people learn different tactics for the changed position.
