Artwork from World of Warcraft issue 1 comic book by Jim Lee - Image 1For those of you who've already read through the first couple of issues of Blizzard and Wildstorm's World of Warcraft comic book, the name Walter Simonson should be easy to recognize. The head writer for the twelve-issue story sits down and plays twenty questions with some of the fans of the comic book series.

A lot of the fans tried to pick Simonson's brain for spoilers on the comic book's plot. However, the head writer was rather reserved with a lot of his comments regarding the amnesiac main protagonist and his shadowy past.

Simonson did admit, however, that some of the well recognized NPCs in the World of Warcraft lore will be making an appearance. Jaina Proudmore was confirmed as one of those whom the readers will get to see eventually.

A lot of the story's depth was also thanks to Chris Metzen and the Blizzard team, who helped Simonson flesh out the comic book version even further. Each character in the story has his or her own unique quirks and we shouldn't be surprised if a spin off with one of them should happen sometime in the future.

As for whether or not Walter Simonson will be returning as head writer again once the comic book ends: "I'm writing the 12-issue story, so essentially, I'm writing two 6-issue arcs that will form a single story. Everything after that is in the lap of the gods."
