Here's a quick heads up for the guys just getting ready to head back into World of Warcraft's Public Test Realms. Blizzard has recently updated the PTRs with a new build for patch 2.4, bringing with it several new changes.

The first few things that were observed with this new build are the inclusion of four new epic stones, and four new alchemy stones. There's also a new enchantments, and some revamps to the spell mechanics for the Shaman and Warlock job classes. Here's the lowdown:

• New epic stones:
• Quick Lionseye
• Forceful Seaspray Emerald
• Steady Seaspray Emerald
• Reckless Pyrestone
• New alchemy stone:
• Assassin's Alchemist Stone
• Guardian's Alchemist Stone
• Sorcerer's Alchemist Stone
• Redeemer's Alchemist Stone
• New cloak enchantment:
• Steelweave
• Shaman
• The global cooldown on casting totems has been reduced. It is now 1 second instead of 1.5
• Flametongue Weapon now reduces the effectiveness of healing spells on your target by 50%. Lasts 5 seconds and refresh every hits. (Screenshot)
• Toughness now Increases your armor value from items by 2/4/6/8/10% and reduces the duration of movement impairing effects on you by -10/20/30/40/50%.
• Shamanistic rage now let you regenerate mana equal to 30% of your attack power instead of 15. Duration reduced to 15 seconds. (Was 30 seconds)
• Warlock
• Lifetap (Rank 1) now converts 5% maximum life into 5% maximum mana.
• Lifetap (Rank 2) now converts 12% maximum life into 12% maximum mana.
• Lifetap (Rank 3) now converts 20% maximum life into 20% maximum mana.
