WoW Anonymous invites players to tell their stories of addiction - Image 1There are quite a few addiction recovery groups out there to help people who have found themselves enslaved to various substances or habits.

This is, however, the first time we've come across a supposed recovery group for players of Blizzard's World of Warcraft. Dubbed WoW Anonymous, this initiative is supposed to help break players addiction to Blizzard's MMORPG.

On the page is the famous Alcoholic's Anonymous line "Hello, I am such and such and I'm addicted to World of Warcraft." There are other questions for players to answer as well, such as character name, level, guild, etc.

We can't help but wonder about it, as a certain funny feeling in our gut seems to be telling us that some thing's afoot. After all, why ask about the number of PvP kills and green, blue and purple items?

The fact that there's a link to a dubious demo video entitled "How to have Sex in World of Warcraft" on the page seems to confirm our suspicions. In any case, if you'd like to check the site out, just click on the source link below.
