WoW: Dustwallow Marsh changes in the works - Image 1

Players have been complaining about the grind in World of Warcraft and one of the major chokepoints where players get stuck leveling is Dustwallow Marsh. You'll be glad to know our friends from Blizzards are planning some tweaks to address this.

Blizzard Poster/ Community Manager Nethaera on the WoW Forums said that Dustwallow Marsh is slated for a few changes. This update will focus on making it easier for players to level up their character in the said area. In addition to this, she also gave word that additional content will be introduced to break the monotony of grinding. Like most updates of this nature, more details will be revealed as they finalize it.

So far no specific date has been given on when this change will take place. However, you can be sure that one of the Community Managers will be releasing more information about this before it pushes through.

 » Nice to hear

On my horde toons, I skipped Dustwallow with all except one. On my Allies, I had a few more quests - most notably a long chain starting in Duskwood - that lead me to Dustwallow, but most of the 'native' quests I skipped.

It's nice that they will freshen up the area and make it more interesting, but to be honest there is enough other content in this level range. Stranglethorn alone is good for 5 levels of XP - so I never really missed not having much to do in Dustwallow.

In the end, Yay! for any new content, but I am much more excited about Zul'Aman giving some relief to what I consider a much greater bottleneck in the game.
