WoW Europe forums: Update on recent latency issues - Image 1 A few days ago, some of World of Warcraft's Europe realms began reporting in-game latency issues that also affected the cross-realm Battlegrounds. The problem had since been picked up by Blizzard's developers, and was already being looked into.

Now, in case you're wondering how Blizzard has been doing regarding the fixes, we picked up an update from blue-texter Thundgot via the WoW Europe Forums. Quoting his original statement:

Over the last few weeks, different issues have caused latency on some of our realms and cross-realm Battlegrounds (CRBGs), especially the Blackout, Bloodlust and Cataclysme Battlegroups. While most of the issues have already been resolved through our work with our service provider partners, we are aware that some latency issues are still affecting these Battlegroups, and to a lesser degree some other Battlegroups.

We have implemented a workaround to alleviate some of the CRBG latency at peak hours and are working diligently on a permanent solution. We will update you on the matter as soon as we have new information available.

That was all the details Thundgot announced for the moment. Check back again in case the developers find a permanent fix to the lag issues that may have been cramping your playing style.
