When patch 2.3.0 went live in the World of Warcraft, it brought not only Zul'Aman and the guild banks, it also brought about some changes in the Battlegrounds. Those changes include Alterac Valley's revamp, the addition of Battleground daily quests and the Season 2 title "Merciless Gladiator" among other things.
In light of these changes, Blizzard poster Nethaera made a sticky thread in the WoW Forums for all the info you could possibly need about honor and Battleground Holiday weekends. The said thread contains information about diminishing returns, estimated honor, and the difference between regular honor and holiday honor on the different battlegrounds. The blue poster also answered some queries about the WoW Battlegrounds.
