WoW Arena season 1 gear delayed too - Image 1Okay, so Blizzard let out the slightly bad news that World of Warcraft's Arena season 3 gear will be missing its originally planned release date by a week. That being the case, and as Faytl asked over at the WoW forums, is there a possibility for the devs to at least release the equally sought after (and far more affordable) Season 1 sets? Blue-texter Drysc dropped by with this reply:

The Season 1 gear being put on the vendor is part of a very large event that kicks off the entirety of Season 3. It's apparently a bit more difficult and labor intensive than just spawning in some vendors with the way our NPC and vendor tech works. I won't claim to know any of the technical details, but it's something that's been brought up, and would be a very large amount of work messing with an event that's already tested and locked down.

[edit] In other words, sorry, no. It's a one week delay for Season 3, and thus, for Season 1 to come to honor.

All we can do for the moment is to wait up for November 27, when the new season begins. There's still plenty to keep an eye out for at the moment of course, given that we're still adjusting to the recently activated game patch 2.3.
