World of Warcraft Heroic keys - Image 1 Heads up for another undocumented change in the World of Warcraft patch 2.3. Drito from the WoW Forums asked whether the change to heroic keys (they now require an Honored reputation) was intended or just a bug. Blizzard poster Tigole answered the query and said that the change was intended.

According to the blue poster, it was "a late change so the patch notes haven't been updated to reflect it." Players on the said thread expressed either support (for alts) or dismay (for "dumbing" WoW down, just like having Badges of Justice in Karazhan and Zul'Aman). Before patch 2.3, Heroic dungeon keys require a reputation of Revered in certain factions before they can be purchased. Players noted that now that the requirement was lowered to Honored, lower level players (that is, under 60) can now get the keys.

After The Burning Crusade, there are five heroic keys: Flamewrought Key, Reservoir Key, Key of Time, Auchenai Key, and Warpforged Key.

What do you think about the change? Let us know.
