Lore followers in the World of Warcraft can't help but be curious about the upcoming content additions in the Wrath of the Lich King. The lore discussion at the WoW Forums for today centered on the blue aspect, Malygos - how his instance will fit in with lore.

The last we heard from Malygos the Blue (also called the Spellweaver, the Hand and Lord of Magic), he was still recovering his sanity after Deathwing - or Neltharion, was defeated. That's the good news. Bad news is, Malygos has declared war against all magic wielders. From what we currently know of the yet unfinished content for Wrath of the Lich King, Rhonin and the Kirin Tor are going to go against the Aspect and the Blue Dragon Flight.

It's been confirmed that Level 80 players will be able to go against Malygos, but players are curious about lore. What will happen when you kill an Aspect? And Malygos is supposed to be one of the good guys, why kill him? Blizzard poster Bornakk dropped by the said thread and noted that the "fate of Malygos however remains to be seen..."

The poster also indicated that info about the Wrath of the Lich King is currently unavailable. Bornakk mentions that some specific questions on the expansion is just too early to answer.

"If you want information on something soon, assuming patch 2.3 is launched next week as we announced, we should have details on patch 2.4 available in the near future," said Bornakk.
