If you've been keeping your eyes on the World of Warcraft bestiary lately, you may have noticed that it hasn't been updated since it was first released. That's exactly what Blizzard forum member Foambeard has been doing, and now the WoW player is wondering what happened to all the updates.
Most of the other WoW forum members suggested that Foambeard simply wait patiently for the next update. Blizzard blue poster Bornakk, however, responded with this:
It will be updated, but it hasn't been up even one week yet, heh. Being updated "regularly" doesn't mean a direct timeline, but it will get numerous updates before the expansion launches and we will likely post about them on the forums as they come.
And in response to the question on the inclusion of bosses, Bornakk said this:
I am not sure as we haven't released any details on what creatures will be added in the future, but to get an idea of how it will work you can take a look at the beastiary for The Burning Crusade: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/burningcrusade/townhall/bestiary.html
Ironically, it was a non-blue poster by the name of Arckin who laid the matter to rest by gently reminding Foambeard of Blizzard's updating style:
You must be unfamiliar with Blizzards development style.
The games they make are good...some times very, very good.
Their production schedule is, pretty much always, so far beyond bad it defies comprehension.
They release what they want, when they want., and not before.
'Nuff said.
