Silmyr Lake has buggy water textures - Image 1

Heads up, gamers! Over on the World of Warcraft Test Realm forums, Hortus has noted a new bug that's appearing all over the different bodies of water in Azeroth and Outland. Apparently, there's a water texture bug that's keeping certain textures from appearing where they should.

Here's the announcement from Hortus:

Hello Everyone, we have identified a new bug in the latest build with water textures.

Water textures in many areas are showing missing squares.

We have noted this in the following areas:

  • Lake Sunspring, Nagrand
  • Skysong Lake, Nagrand
  • Terrok's Rest, Terrokar Forest
  • Pools of Aggonar, Hellfire Penninsula
  • Veil Ruuan, Blade's Edge
  • Grishnath, Blade's Edge
  • Allerian Stronghold, Terokkar Forest

If you encounter any texture issues outside of these areas please post about them here, and provide a screenshot if possible to help us identify the area.

WoW players in the various areas were quick to provide assistance and screenshots of problem spots in-game. If you have any information of your own to contribute, you may want to head on over to the test realm forums and send a picture link or two to assist Hortus and the rest of the Blizzard staff.
