WoW Patch 2.1.0 available on background downloader

The World of Warcraft Patch 2.1.0 is going to be big. Good thing Blizzard has a background downloader so we don't really need to stare at the humongous donwload come Tuesday.

Yup, the background downloader is currently in action for those who signed in today. The size of the download is 247MB for PC users and 248MB for Mac users. Reportedly, this is on North American servers only - no news as of yet for Oceanic and European servers. This will make download on Tuesday relatively pain free but that's assuming that the patch does go live this Tuesday.

Many players think that the patch going live this coming Tuesday may be too early since there are still a lot of things to be ironed out. Anyway, we'll update you on whether this is also available on the other sides of the pond. In the meantime, better start downloading to avoid what horrors there might be when the next World of Warcraft patch goes live.

I am finding that the background downloader is extremely slow. No one seems to be seeding and I am not getting a direct connection to the Blizzard servers.

Dont try and open the patch you dont need it till it goes live, you patch now and you cant play, so if the patch goes live in 2weeks instead then you have no wow for two weeks unless you revert back.

Wow, the Pally Nerf is bull*****... we now give subpar, second to holy priest, resto shaman, and resto druid healing. Second to Warrior and Druid Tanking and Bench warming dps.

i feel as though the nerfing to pally's comes at a time when we are already struggling to do anything but fill an empty space. With these changes i'll be surprised if we can do anything well ever again

Word. It was hard hard enough convincing folk that pallys could heal if no Priest was around.. Now, Pallys aren't really good at anything.. Jack-of-all-trades and Jack's left town..

uses all complaian about how sh#@ the pally nerf is and that a load of crap uses deserve it uses stole tanks spopts u took priests spots and probly even dps spots uses cant hav a everything ur way its bad enough u can run around for 10secs and beat on anything de spell everything and every class just has to watch u why dont ya get a class that needs skill to play then come bak and complain i think its about time uses got wat uses deserved

i play a pally and i agree with what you say to the extent of how we can bubble and dispell all of that stuff and how anyoing it is but how many times has a pally ever dpsed you down?.....most likly nvr. i dont care about the ret tree nurf since my class will nvr dps or any buffing to the prot tree since most guilds would nvr let a pally tank. The healing nurf hurts in inst. alot and i will say that im not happy with it....they pry should keep it the way it is but make our auto crit move turn into a free cast....but any way i can understand the reason they nurfed pally healing and it was b/c with a shadow preist in the raid we would seldom ever worry about mana...and i mean nvr worry about it. So thats mi 10 cents on the issue
