PvP

There's a lot of ways to grab your next set of epic gear in World of Warcraft. But since we'll be talking about  legal ways to get the said loots, we'll be talking about the revised PvP honor system Blizzard's cooked up for WoW's 2.0.1 Patch.

The honor system - for the uninformed - is the new PvP treat that's just been implemented, and it grants users honor points for every opponent killed and quest accomplished within the selected battlegrounds. The honor points in turn like currency, and can be used to purchase epic items in return for all the fighting the players face.

With that said, we'll be focusing on Paul Sherrad over at WoW Insider, who'll be talking about his experiences on the new PvP system. Was all that grinding (and dying) he's been facing in the BG's worth it? That is, compared to all the PvE grinding he's faced in the past.

As he mentioned in his analysis:

So, what did 4 hours of PVP get me? So far 2 WSG tokens, 1 AV token, and 15 AB tokens. Not a bad start. How are the honor points? Not as good - my PvP tab shows about 4200 points for the day's efforts. This 30% reduction in earned honor is going to hurt.

More details of his analysis await at the read link on this weekly status report of the PvP system.
